Certification + Testing
International Testing and Certification Center (ITCC)
Building on more than 30 years of first-class certification and testing experience, CPA recently opened its new state-of-the-art International Testing and Certification Center (ITCC) in Leesburg, Virginia. Located only minutes away from CPA’s main office, the 5,500 square foot state-of-the-art facility has been engineered with tomorrow’s ultra low emitting products in mind. The three Large Chambers and accompanying conditioning room provide the capacity to operate seven days a week to service the needs of customers looking to comply with current regulations, standards and mill specifications, including the new California Air Resources Board formaldehyde emissions rule. The large chambers were designed with smaller interior volumes, permitting twenty percent smaller test samples and thereby providing freight savings for customers.
The ITCC carries the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program accreditation that helps ensure the highest quality assurance of its procedures, employees and management systems.
CPA welcomes current and prospective customers to visit and witness composite wood products being tested. Later this year a new formaldehyde training program will be introduced for customers to send their technicians to the ITCC to learn more about the chemistry techniques that are critical to dependably measure lower emission levels.
