How to Join CPA
Membership in CPA is open to any firm that has a direct business relationship with the North American composite panel industry and whose membership would not jeopardize the viability of the programs of the Composite Panel Association. All applicants must be approved by the CPA Board of Directors.
Companies join CPA as either an Associate Member or a General Member depending on their scope of business. Membership applications and the requirements for membership are provided below. If you are interested in membership or have additional questions, please feel free to contact the CPA office at (703) 724-1128.
General Membership CPA General Membership is open to active North American producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), hardboard or other compatible products as defined by the CPA Bylaws. Each CPA General Member company is entitled to designate one primary and one alternate representative to the CPA Board of Directors. General members pay annual base dues of $4,000 plus monthly shipments-based dues.
Associate Membership CPA Associate membership is open to any firm, corporation or other type of business enterprise that has a direct and substantial business relationship with the North American composite panel industry but does not qualify for CPA General membership. Examples of companies that would qualify as CPA Associate members include distributors, retailers, and downstream manufacturers that use composite wood panels. Associate Membership dues are based on the annual gross sales of the entire legal business entity, not industry segment sales. Dues are paid annually on the calendar year in categories ranging from $1,000 to 4,000.
